If you complete our contact form, we collect the details you choose to give us:
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on this website, and we do not build a profile of your browsing.
We use these details only to respond to your enquiry and, if you go on to become a client, to set up and provide our services. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — replying to someone who has contacted us asking for information — and, once you engage us, performance of a contract.
We will not add you to a marketing list or send you unrelated promotional emails as a result of a website enquiry.
Our contact form is delivered by Web3Forms, which passes your message to our email inbox. Our website is hosted on Google Firebase Hosting. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security obligations.
We do not sell your information, and we never share it with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share information where we are legally required to, for example with HMRC or under anti-money-laundering obligations.
If your enquiry does not lead to us working together, we delete it within 12 months. If you become a client, your records are kept for the periods required by tax and anti-money-laundering law — normally six years after our work for you ends.
Where we act for you, we hold further information needed to do the work — such as your address, tax references, financial records and identity documents. This is held securely in our practice management system, access is limited to our staff, and it is handled under the same principles set out in this policy.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
To exercise any of these, email info@trentaccountancy.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and revise the date shown at the top.
